Have RC2N window installed

Hello, we are currently considering upgrading the windows in our basement and ground floor of our new building with RC2N burglary protection. As I understand it, RC2N includes mushroom head fittings and lockable door handles. It should cost around €2000 for about 15 windows. Is that a normal price? I don't think it can be done afterwards, right? How have you secured your windows?

That depends on what is included in the scope of services without this surcharge. My gut feeling is that the price is okay (for "RC2N certified", not just any kind of certification).

For us, the surcharge was 1000 euros for 13 elements in RC2N via the general contractor. Features as you say as well as steel-reinforced profiles. We will choose RC2, so laminated safety glass as well. Windows from the window manufacturer who is certified for production and installation according to the standard for RC2. We are doing this because of the edge location, if you can be seen from everywhere, in my opinion RC2N is sufficient since the pane is usually not attacked.

I would not want to give up the possibility. Whether one actually uses it every time is another question.

Question: Do you install a controlled residential ventilation system? Then you usually don’t open the windows anyway (except for the terrace) and therefore can’t forget to lock up.
