Has the pipe insulation for the heat pump in the new building been cleaned?

Hello everyone,

I am standing in the heating cellar of my new building with an air-to-water heat pump and wondering if the installer insulated everything properly. I am not an expert in heating but I see quite a bit of metal between the insulated pipes. For example, there are also styrofoam caps for circulation pumps. With Biral these are partly supplied as well.

Is this done properly or does additional insulation make economic sense?

Thanks for the tips, I will carefully ask the installer at the next opportunity if everything is okay. Sometimes some things get left unfinished.

Thanks for the tips!

It's a heated boiler room, right? You should use these Styrofoam insulation shells, but to be honest, it doesn't make much of a difference in a heated room. The heating costs will probably only change by the cents.

You should do that.

Functionally, it's probably sufficient. Visually, it's just a bit careless... but whatever, it's in the basement. Just ask him! This is how it looks at our place...

Thank you for the response. New building, the room does not have radiators/underfloor heating but the rest of the house will heat well... it never gets really cold there.
