Good evening to you all!

Our plumber recommended the "Enthärtungsanlage 11 von Magnetic" as a water softener. I had dealt a little with the topic so far, and of course mostly came across the usual suspects (e.g. Grünbeck).

I don't need Wi-Fi or any other modern gimmicks, the system should work and soften the water. Quite simple. The Magnetic already looks very much like a basic model, which basically matches my wishes. And it is also a good bit cheaper than the alternatives....

However, and that makes me a bit suspicious, I can hardly find anything about this system on the internet.

Do you know it?
Do you have any experience with it?

Thanks in advance,
Regards

S

Well, I have no experience with it. But I have a water softener in my house myself. With the Magnetic, the adaptive control is interesting, but if it regenerates at the latest after 4 days anyway, then the adaptiveness is more or less pointless. Mine regenerates every 3 days. Otherwise, I believe it will do its job. Softening is really nothing super complicated.

Hello Appel2000,
could you briefly share your experience with the Magnetic 11? I am also looking for a water softening system and my installer offered me this system.
Thank you very much for a short feedback.
Best regards
Bernd

Purpose of use? For a single-family house, the system is far, far too large. ~ 85 l of regeneration water with ~850 g salt consumption involves considerable operating costs.

Hello MayrCh, the system is for our single-family house. We consume on average about 160 cubic meters of water per year. What would that mean for the operating costs of this system? I am quite a layman in this matter and don't have much knowledge. Our water hardness is 17. Thanks and regards
