Dear people, at some point my patience also runs out. That something can go wrong during the installation – OK. A plug was defective. It took 5(!) weeks until the device was started with the correct plug. Then everything ran perfectly for 9 weeks and to our great joy. Suddenly there was no more boiling water coming from the tap. I complained politely. Interim message after 4 days, the technician would get in touch when he had the spare part. Another week of silence. I called and inquired. The spare part (hopefully the right one, since there was no proper diagnosis) is now there, but the technician (apparently only one without any regional substitute) is now on vacation and will get in touch then.
My impression:
1. Grohe does not have quickly available spare parts
2. Customer service is not continuously available
Consequence:
I will no longer buy a premium product without premium service.
Things can always break.

Update: In response to my criticism about the service at Grohe, I received a promising reply. The service is provided by a partner. Let's see how it goes. Meanwhile, I found a reset button on a wired remote control for the water filter. It was hidden behind the kitchen cabinets. Despite the lack of instructions, I pressed it after noting the set value. The device is now working again. I wanted to inform the service company and cancel the appointment and ask for instructions (which I couldn't find online). Guess who is probably not reachable until the new year?

Phew, I am glad about our Quooker, it works perfectly. Although: we had to do a reset once in the past 5 months. But otherwise, there was nothing to complain about. Therefore, I can't say how any potential customer service would be in case of an issue.

Update: In response to my somewhat negative Facebook comment, Grohe was actually quite friendly and attentive. I explained my situation again, upon which they promised to look into it. Because I was annoyed, I inspected the device within the scope of the warranty. Now it works again. Since I was unable to reach the service multiple times, no one answered the phone, I informed via Facebook that I would not need the service for the time being. Yesterday, 24 days after the service request, the service called, the spare part had arrived, and they wanted to make an appointment. Hm.

At Grohe you can really forget the service...
We have a bathtub fitting in the four-figure range (I would never do that again), the installation didn’t work. Someone from Grohe came quickly and somehow managed it, but it didn’t look perfect. Never mind, it was okay.
But again, even with Grohe rain showers, not so expensive (mid three-figure), the thermostats didn’t work properly. For one he managed it, for the other he said that we must have broken it ourselves...
In the middle of moving stress, that wasn’t the most urgent problem, and when we wanted to pick it up again a few months later, nothing happened... "playing dead"
