Hello,

I have a 3-year-old bathtub faucet from Grohe. Judging by its appearance, it could be a Grohe Eurosmart faucet. The faucet has a spout at the front and directly behind it (on the underside) an opening or connection for a shower head. Since I noticed that the shower head sometimes drips, I dismantled the so-called diverter and found that a golden thread had somehow come loose or broken off in the "cap" (so-called diverter knob). So I bought a new diverter and a diverter cap right away. Now I tried to install it today, but unfortunately without success, because the diverter knob does not stay up; it lowers all the time. It only stays up if you hold it up with light body force. When it is up, no water comes out. But when you let go, water flows out of the diverter at the top, as if the cap were not sitting properly, BUT the cap cannot be tightened much more, only with a lot more force.

I have attached two photos. On the left is the old, defective diverter. On the right is the new one.

Do you have any idea what I am doing wrong?
