Hello everyone,
we are just about to hand over the house and now have the following problem:
We have a grey expansion joint on the white wall. When I first entered the rooms, I still thought the painters were not finished.
Now they say we have to accept this expensive and elaborate measure because it only serves our well-being and the manufacturer only produces this joint tape in grey. The site manager told me that this is quite new in use (for about 2 years) – in a house that was built last year by the same builder, this tape was "not yet" used.
Our expert also classified the joint tape as a defect.
Can someone help me out – such solutions surely exist in white as well?
Why did the builder use this joint tape?
(It is also not allowed to paint over it!)
What should be our next steps now?
Many thanks,
