Hello,

we are currently planning the heating system for our new building. We have decided on a gas condensing boiler system + solar thermal for hot water.

Here are a few data about the house:

- Living area 210 sqm
- without basement
- underfloor heating
- Kfw 70

We have received the following offer:

Condensing boiler: Buderus GB 172 14kW with control Logamatic EMS with RC300
solar system: Buderus SKN 4.0 S 7.11 sqm + solar storage 400 l + raised support on garage flat roof
underfloor heating: 210 sqm material without thermal insulation + installation as DIY + Srallan actuator
(wiring + room thermostats by builder through smart home control)

Price 21,300€

Other offers have been obtained but we have not yet received them.

Does anyone have comparative values for a 14 KW gas condensing boiler + approx. 7 sqm collector area + 210 sqm underfloor heating?

I would have rather expected 17-18,000 €.

Thanks in advance and best regards

Florian

Hi,
I can't provide a comparison, but take a look at what you would pay for the material in the relevant online shops. That is the price floor.
Then calculate €3-4k for the installation of the heating system (just the heating, you will install the underfloor heating yourselves) and the solar system plus a 10-20% markup on the material. Then you have a rough estimate for the "lower limit."

At the moment, the guys are sometimes charging more than just outrageously, so it's not a bad idea to do the math.

Best regards,

Andreas

Hi,

We have - except for the underfloor heating - the dot-equivalent system in the house that you listed.

I'm currently in the hospital and can't check, but I think we paid about 16K including installation. Since your price includes the underfloor heating, I don't find the price you mentioned unreasonable at all.

Otherwise: See tips from the previous poster.

Best regards
Thorsten

Thank you for the answers.

@ Thorsten: Get well soon for now.

Material * 120 % + €4,000 I would end up at about €17,500. Plus €1,000 additional small parts that are not listed separately. This is now also in the range I would have roughly calculated. So about €18,500 (the €17-18,000 were only considered a guideline based on the experience of others)

Thank you already for the example of how to roughly estimate the costs.

Hello Florian,

a lot has already been said about the prices, just as a supplementary question: Can you do the programming of the smart home system yourselves? If the programming is outsourced (KNX, …) that can quickly cause a big price jump.

Best regards, Erik
