So far, I have always dealt with the conventional form - the garden hose. But apart from the fact that it is sometimes very annoying, I also believe it is not as effective as, for example, an irrigation system. And as I have just seen, irrigation systems do not even have to be expensive. There are already flower pots with water reservoirs - which in my opinion also belong to such a system.

Hi sennor

The best for the plants is of course to water them with rainwater. They prefer it in the evening or early in the morning.

hi,

there are quite a few methods, that's true. for example, watering by hand, overhead irrigation, drip irrigation, subsurface irrigation, and much more. it now depends on which plants are involved and how large the cultivation area is.

best regards,
yung ;)

hi,

I think, no matter which irrigation method you choose, you should collect and use rainwater. It is much better for the plants than tap water, and you can save water this way, which is becoming increasingly scarce worldwide, especially in southern regions.

Hi,

watering is really a very important topic when it comes to plants. If you choose a suitable method, you save work and also water. Water is one of the most important resources on Earth, if not the most important at all! You must neither water too much nor too little to optimally supply the plants!

One should always remember that the soil around the plants must be loosened repeatedly so that the water can reach the roots faster. A hoe is the right tool for this. If you water too much at once, the oxygen distribution in the soil is hindered. If you water too little, the plants dry out, die, or at least become weakened.

Best regards,
Gartenbau ;)
