Hi,
I once saw a house in this forum that was completely built from Styrodur/XPS. However, the related questions from the original poster were not answered, so I need to ask again and adjust my question somewhat to my project....
I am planning a "greenhouse," or let's call it a turtle house, in my garden and it should be very simple and light but weather-resistant... Now the question:
Can you build walls from 100mm XPS/Styrodur? The dimensions of the longest wall would be 3 meters long and 2 meters high. The front and back wall would be 2.5 meters by 2 meters. For the roof, 16mm double-wall polycarbonate panels are planned. It does not need to bear much load but should be stiff enough to carry two small 100x80cm windows and a standard balcony door. The interior is to be tiled and the exterior will be covered with facade plaster.
Would this construction be "buildable" in this size and made purely from XPS?
Attached are the pictures of the Styrodur house from the 2013 post
Thanks for your upcoming answers
Regards
Basti
