We received the quote for our fence yesterday: 5000.- ([Törchen almost 1000.-]), they calculated 48m. I was quite shocked because I expected about half that... Can you do something like this yourself? Buy chain link and wooden posts at the hardware store? Does anyone have experience with this? We really need the fence (dog, children, and Aare very close), but paying another 5000.-, phew. I’m very happy for any tips!!!

You can definitely build a garden fence yourself, especially with wood and chain link it's quite simple. However, some craftsmanship is required, as the fence should be stable and not fall over with the children's first climbing attempt.
