Hello dear community,

we are planning to get an induction cooktop NUTID HIN4T and I have a few questions that I couldn’t answer from brochures and the internet so far.

1. How does the cooktop regulate the power when I’m not cooking on full heat? Does it switch off for a few seconds intermittently and then back on, or is there a better logic implemented that does this without noticeable on/off cycles? (Read on the internet that this could be tested with the water boiling test)

2. Does the cooktop run a fan when cooking or do you only hear the noise from the pot?

3. Allegedly, the standby consumption is quite high. But Ikea states 1W, which amounts to only about 2€ per year. Can this be confirmed?

Thanks a lot in advance :)

Best regards, Alex

Hello,

Induction cooktops are always pulsed at the lower power levels. In the higher ranges, regulation is achieved by changing the frequency. If the frequency is reduced too far, a high-pitched whine may occur that some people can still hear. That is why pulsing is used. Whether the HIN4T pulses at all levels, I do not know, but I also cannot imagine it.

In every induction cooktop, a fan runs from a certain temperature to cool the electronics.

Many electrical appliances are being discontinued. Among them is the NUTID HIN4T.

In some homes, I have also seen offers for cooktops where the price was significantly reduced.
