Hello,

is there anyone who has experience with the aforementioned heating system? I would prefer practical experiences but also technical perspectives are welcome. We have an offer for a Vitovalor 300p from Viessmann. If we deduct the BAFA subsidy from the offer price (including complete piping and flue gas exhaust), we are €8390 more expensive than a gas condensing boiler including tube collectors and buffer tank. Is the additional investment worthwhile? According to the manufacturer, there is a saving potential of 40% vs. electricity grid consumption and gas condensing boiler. That would be just under €1000 for us, which would amortize the system within the first 10 years. Does anyone have experience with how much the performance of the cell regarding electricity generation decreases?

Thank you very much for the honest answers

Have you also included the not insignificant maintenance costs in that?

The maintenance for the cell is included, but not for the peak load boiler. Since these maintenance costs occur in both variants, we exclude them from our consideration. Are there other significant additional costs over the lifetime of a fuel cell?
