Hello, we are completely new here and planning to buy a kitchen. Now, while reading here in the forum, we noticed that the fridge combinations are not praised so much. We are planning a Frostig CB 602. It would be nice if someone could share their experiences with this device. Well then, thanks and bye.

Hello unfortunately I only saw your email today: maybe you have already bought the refrigerator by now......and I don’t want to spoil your fun, but I am not so enthusiastic. I want to briefly describe it to you: I noticed with the FROSTIG CB 602 W that firstly it cools extremely strongly on level 1, but above all that it is constantly running (it switches on more or less every 20 minutes and then cools for 10 minutes). I tried several times to contact Whirlpool and finally a technician came, measured the temperature of the refrigerator and freezer compartments and found everything to be normal. He said that this is an AUTOMATIC refrigerator and not a digital one, which is why it switches on as soon as the ice on the wall has turned into droplets, and that is about every 20 minutes, probably regardless of how much is in the fridge......... As I said, for me quite annoying, the device is actually on all the time! I honestly don’t know if it’s the same with other devices, I would also be happy if an expert could give advice on this. The constant switching on annoys me greatly and had I known, I would have looked for another device (perhaps a smaller refrigerator)......... Thank you for the advice and your opinion

Hello Stefan 60, thank you very much for your reply. Although late, but not too late. We are still renovating. Now the decision has been made, we are giving up this noble piece and leaving our fridge-freezer combination as it is. It is not that bad yet. Besides, we are saving around €550. Great, I'm really happy for you too, because as you have surely read with "mikae": with this device, it's a nightmare. I also don't know if Ikea should or can be contacted somehow, because this is not good advertising.......maybe I will find a contact address and report it. I am really stressed and at the thought that one probably has to grapple with it for a longer time now......it really ruins my mood:::::
