Our foundation slab should be constructed according to the WU guideline. Trenches were excavated, shuttered, mats installed, and concrete poured.

- Is it correct if the frost barrier and foundation slab are cast in one pour?
- Drying of the slab causes stresses. If both components are connected, the likelihood of cracks is surely much higher?

Is the construction company allowed to build according to the WU guideline, or must it be specified in the contract (for us according to the Building Code)?

In addition, the exterior walls were started the next day. Is the drying time sufficient?

Our foundation slab is approximately 18 cm thick. Due to unevenness, in the worst case only 15 cm.

Where can I find the relevant regulations?
Thanks to you!

Hello [hier könnte dein Name stehen], and welcome to the house building forum

Why shouldn't your construction company be allowed to build? I don't quite understand your question.

In my layman's opinion, that should be sufficient.

Sounds very thin. We have 25 cm, our neighbor even 30 cm. But this should be evident from your structural analysis and the soil report.

Hello Tom, that probably only means that you cannot simply assume your floor slab was built according to WU guidelines without an agreement in the contract.
