Normally, WP and controlled residential ventilation are two separate devices. It doesn’t matter – many very good WP manufacturers do not offer controlled residential ventilation and vice versa. Therefore, the selection is already significantly more limited. I personally don’t like a combination device either – do you need a new combination device if the WP breaks down? Keep it simple.

They don’t exist.

P.S. The manufacturer of a WP or controlled residential ventilation is probably the last thing you should worry about when building a house. It’s more like number 137 on the to-do list.

That being said, one must also fairly state that neither a heat pump nor a mechanical ventilation with heat recovery require serious maintenance. Nothing that you can’t do yourself in 5 minutes and for 5€. If you want to. Maintenance-wise, they are a completely different matter than the gas heating – maintenance of a heat pump is similar to maintenance of a refrigerator. Only filters are added.
