Hello... I have the following problem in the course of a complete bathroom renovation:
A freestanding shower element 1.20 x 2 m was removed again by my professional company after installation because the tiles in the shower were not laid correctly.
After re-laying the tiles, the shower element was reinstalled and showed slight leaks. The plumbers came again and applied more silicone over the existing one.
Result: After showering, I already have a few water drops outside the shower wall again. I fear mold.

My question: was it installed incorrectly? Is this a reason for complaint? Attached are 2 photos of the shower inside and outside. As mentioned, I had a professional company.
Thanks for advice!

To my knowledge, old silicone must be completely removed because silicone does not adhere to silicone.

Why? Just because a few drops land outside the shower, mold will not form. That will dry up.
However, it does not solve the problem - it should be watertight.

 But that is done very amateurishly with silicone! I only know it as already wrote, that the old silicone must be removed.

Doesn't look good. I would have complained too. The connecting rails at the back and bottom are missing. That's why it is not sealed.

Certainly, such constructions are always difficult to seal. But there are good finishing profiles nowadays that are also watertight. They should be retrofitted here.

Such a wall connection profile would have been the solution of choice. Then you wouldn't need an ugly silicone sealant. But those also cost a few euros.

As so often, customers are being ripped off. Really badly.
