Hello everyone,

does anyone have experience with floor-to-ceiling and frameless sliding windows?
We want to glaze our living room window and our dining room window with the mentioned systems. I have a quote for Soreg-Glide panels for the dining room window (approx. 25sqm) at over 36,000 euros net, so about 1440€/sqm. The other window is 28,000 euros for 21sqm, which results in a price per square meter of about 1330€ (including installation etc.)
Are the other systems also this expensive or are there more affordable alternatives? Are they really worth the extra cost? Does anyone have experience with them?

Many thanks and best regards

For this, I recall the statement from

and otherwise, also has experience with such *ahem* balcony doors here ;-) which Günter Strack would probably have commented with "you otherwise don’t treat yourself to anything" :-)

Of course, it also depends on the resistance class, discoloration, drive, etc.
Whether Skyframe, Swissfineline, etc., you are at least in such price ranges.
Cheaper are Josko or Cero. But not on the same level or only within certain limits.
It depends on the exact requirements and application.
Soreg belongs to Schüco.
Whether it’s worth the extra cost you have to decide for yourself.
Make appointments with the different manufacturers and look at the systems. Differences are opening widths, drives, possible security classes (especially for elements that can be opened...), detailed executions.
We are glad we did it. Price-wise, though, really nasty.
The shell construction must be very precise. I hope you build with individual contracts. With a general contractor, it will probably go wrong with such glass elements (interface issue).
will also have large window surfaces. Here it probably goes towards Josko.

We also have electric frameless sliding windows on the residential floor and it was definitely worth the extra cost... However, not in the basement floor, as we have normal wooden aluminum windows with frames there. You have to be careful when installed on terraces or gardens, there are many accidents because people don’t expect it, think it is open, and then walk into it.

At Josko, there is practically a price compromise solution alongside Fixframe called the Platin Blue / Safir Blue line: not completely frameless view, but reduced compared to conventional profiles.

Josko has refined "Josko One" once again. As Rick has already mentioned, we have set our sights on Josko.
