Hello everyone,

attached are my current plans. I am currently dealing with the foundation. (Soil survey available)
Which is the more cost-effective option? Shell construction or masonry with concrete form stones + pouring.

Who has experience with this? Thank you very much

Best regards, Alex

The latter should save heavy equipment. The design looks mature, although I still can't quite imagine using the elevator. I look forward to seeing you again in the house pictures thread.

The shell construction says he prefers to shutter. As he wants. I don’t have a real concept for the elevator yet. I have planned 1 sqm in each ceiling. We will probably build initially without it and close the openings. Or does anyone have ideas? Regards, Alex

For a proper elevator, you need more space. About 2.5-3sqm if it should be wheelchair accessible.

Hello alexisan

I have the preparation for an elevator in my house. There are standard dimensions. I have installed a floor in the individual chambers. It can now be used for storage.
You must decide beforehand whether the elevator is operated from below using hydraulics or from above using a reversal pulley. I have the hydraulics, which means that there is enough space under the floor for the machines. It then has to be built similarly to a sump pit. About 60cm deeper than the "normal" floor.

I thought so. I was a Zivi and a caregiving relative, and my imagination is not enough to picture a functioning passenger lift in this spot. Quite simple: inquire with manufacturers of such things. In the course of the building permit processing, no one will point this out. At most, they might be surprised about a dumbwaiter in a garage. Only later will an elevator installer say that he has no approved model for this ceiling opening.
