Dear community,

I would like to set granite curbstones/edging stones (8x25x100) as an edge around my property. Afterwards, the double rod panel fence is to be concreted behind the curbstones.

Now I have a question regarding the foundation. What material should I use for the drainage/cleanliness layer? I have heard various opinions on this. Some say that mineral concrete 0/32 is the right choice because mineral concrete can be well compacted with a vibrating plate. A landscaper, on the other hand, recommends gravel in the grain size 16/32 because gravel has a much better drainage effect and more space in the pores for freezing water. Others again say that gravel in the grain size 16/32 cannot be compacted and is therefore unsuitable.

Could you give me a recommendation?

Thank you very much.
