Hello everyone,
Topic: Foundation
Starting situation: Our plot is relatively flat at about NN 48.6. Unfortunately, we have the requirement to build flood-adapted and therefore need to found at NN 50. For most of the house that's not a problem: strip off topsoil, put fill sand on, put gravel layer on, slope the edges down into the garden on most sides, slab in the middle. Done.
I am currently at a loss about the most economical method for the garage and how it would ideally be founded. Since we are at the boundary here, sloping is not an option. It must be intercepted. Is it most sensible to place L-shaped stones along the purple line, which then serve as a boundary for fill sand and gravel? Does a prefabricated garage then still need an additional foundation or can it simply be placed on the gravel? Or is there something entirely different recommended for the garage foundation?
Of course, I will also consult specialist companies about this, but since I currently have relatively little knowledge myself, they could tell me a load of nonsense
Thank you very much for your input.
