Flush-mounted garage door

If possible, I would like a sectional door that can be installed flush with the surface. I would then like to clad it with the facade. However, not at any cost.... Here are some manufacturers. Maybe someone has experience with one of the manufacturers and can say something about quality and prices.

Sectional door means that the panels are not cladding, but rather structural segments of the door. In other words: to make it look perfectly right visually, the facade builder would practically have to order the same segments from the door manufacturer or their supplier. And that entails painstakingly precise adjustment work during the installation of the door and the facade elements. A huge amount of work, a fortune. There have to be Bentleys in there for it not to look "crooked."

Such a "wallpaper door" for the garage would remind me of the equipment rooms in the gymnasium.

You are not 100% correct with your assumption. For example, Hörmann offers the possibility to "panel" the gate afterwards. This way, you can basically choose the material if you consider details like weight and size. I am currently installing the Bentley in terms of finances. So there is only a comparatively affordable car in it. Nevertheless, my wife and I would like it, and that's why the initial question is whether anyone has installed it. And if so, at what price? At Hörmann, the gate alone is supposed to cost around €7000. I would actually order the Bentley with it then...

The gate looks absolutely awesome! An architect in our neighborhood also has a similar one. But for the price, you could get a new car from Dacia.

Preferably through own effort such as installation and paneling. Skilled workers are on site. The hope is also small that there is something like this for a realistic price. At Hörmann, the gate is supposed to cost around €7000.

Why so expensive? Depending on the model and size, Hörmann gates can be found online between €500 and €3000. If it really is "just" an additional cladding, it would only be important that the drive can handle the extra weight.

However, it is true that the facade parts and gate segments then have to be adjusted very precisely.

Personally, I find the look way too bulky, somehow it looks like Darth Vader’s garage... You would need a 300 sqm palace next to it so the house doesn’t visually disappear.
But it doesn’t have to please me, it has to please you!

There are also Novoferm and Normstahl as suppliers.
