Hello We want to build a house with an architect and independent awarding of trades. So not with a general contractor etc. Now we really like the floor plan of a prefab house which still needs to be modified a bit .. a little bigger, room layout slightly changed. But not excessively different .. Is it allowed to do it like this and also post it here for further tips on optimization or is that not done? Regards

Why shouldn't you be allowed to do that? They don't have a patent on their floor plan. We also took the floor plan from another manufacturer and built with a different BU.

Of course you can use it, we didn't do it any other way.

Best regards

You can use it - who should forbid you? However, posting it here - that's another question. To publish intellectual content, you usually need a license that you probably do not have. Often it's not a problem if you mention the source. But this, in turn, is not desired in the forum, as links to external sites are not allowed. So, in short: better to reproduce it and immediately redesign it according to your own wishes. Show it here, we'll fix it for you. ;)

Tracing with a pencil on graph paper takes 10 minutes. The floor plans of prefabricated houses usually contain nothing that is worthy of protection in terms of the idea. Therefore, they are freely accessible on the internet. Copying and sharing elsewhere, e.g. in a forum, should be done with source citation - it should be seen as free advertising for the prefab house company ;)

The number of possibilities to divide a rectangle into six parts is finite ;-)
