Hello everyone, I have a plot of land on which I am allowed to build a house with a maximum size of 6.5m * 11m. Also permitted is a single-storey building (gable roof, roof heights currently not limited). So it will not be a huge house, but of course everything you need should be there. Since we have to excavate 1.5 m, the idea is to build a basement as a [weiße Wanne] right away. Thus, the heating room as well as storage options are in the basement. Since the house (especially the ground floor) should be designed to be accessible for the disabled and elderly, I plan to have a bathroom, kitchen, living room, and bedroom on the ground floor. Unfortunately, there are hardly any suggestions on the internet about whether all this is even possible without everything becoming too cramped. Have you seen exciting designs on the internet or maybe even similar floor plans yourselves? I would be very happy to get suggestions from you. Thank you very much and best regards Tobi

That is too tight for a reasonable plan if it is really to be disabled- and elderly-friendly (wide doors, roll-in shower, and enough space in the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom for the wheelchair). Then only 60-65 sqm of living space remain on the ground floor for the entire apartment = apartment.

Your information is somewhat sparse. The questionnaire wouldn't be a bad idea

Here is a relatively narrow house
https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/fertighaus-dschungel.32592/page-26

And here a somewhat more complicated floor plan

I would look into terraced houses

Your requirements for the ground floor are not feasible. There are missing square meters. For barrier-free building, I recommend the site Nullbariere

I see only about 85 sqm (including usable area) coming together here for a one-and-a-half-story building. How old are you, to already assume a life for at most two people until the end? What disability is present or is likely according to medical history? - you cannot plan omnipotently for disability accessibility.

Please show the property plan. Feel free to draw it yourself including neighbors, street, and measurements. Let's see what ideas come up :)

Hello everyone,
First of all, thank you very much for the quick feedback.

It is a property with a house where I live with my family. Now an extension is to be built, see the attached picture. The original plan was actually to build 8.5x8.5, but the municipality did not approve it that way and said if anything, it would only be approved as shown in the picture.

It's a pity, but before nothing is approved, better this way and one tries to make compromises.

My parents, who are over 70, are supposed to move in. Since you never know, I thought it would be good to prepare and plan in an age-appropriate way.

I hope this helps a little more...

Thank you very much and best regards
Tobi
