Dear forum,

Our planning is almost complete, but somehow I could still use a few opinions on our utility room. I am not really happy with the current layout with the heat pump, hot water tank, ventilation system, photovoltaic inverter/battery storage, and control cabinet. The hot water tank in front of the window gives me a bit of a headache, and I thought the supply and exhaust air pipes for the ventilation system should be spaced further apart in the wall. Since I don't know the minimum distances between the components, I also don't know how else it could be arranged. Maybe you have some ideas?

This way (with the little plan snippet) it's not suitable for a fruitful discussion. Please link your planning yourself, I also have a Sunday once in a while.

What does your architect say about that? Are the washing machine and dryer at the top left?

I am still missing a few things like the water meter, house connection box for electricity, and where the fiber optic/DSL connection with the router/switch/patch panel will go.

In addition to the equipment, there also needs to be installation space and space for pipes next to the devices. This must be planned by a professional.

Assuming that the washing machine and dryer are at the top of the plan, I would swap them with the heating and ventilation components. That way, the person loading the machine gets the door in their back every time someone comes in. On the right side of the plan, you would have a nice workspace with the window.

Yes, I would also have replaced the entire laundry area with the heating/ventilation stuff now. You most need space and light there. Behind the WW-Speicher (which is over 1.8n high for us), the window is half covered. You can nicely place the dryer and washing machine under the window, even elevated, or under a countertop. The sink then in the corner. Next to the window, you can still plan wall cabinets as storage space.
