Floor plan design in old buildings, is the living room sufficient?

Hi,

it's about a house from 1964. This house is to be completely renovated. We already have an extension on the house (see sketch), which is supposed to become the living room and utility room later. Unfortunately, the extension is only about 3.30m wide and 7m (interior dimensions) long.

The house will later be occupied by 2 adults / 2 children. Ultimately, we have to cope with the size, but I would like to hear your opinion or maybe you have ideas for expansion or other ideas for the possible layouts? The floor plan is not fixed yet and is only a sketch for now. Walls can still be "moved" (due to 2 existing beams (thin line in the sketch) we have no problem with the static calculations).

We possibly thought about extending the extension. Possibly a conservatory? Or extending it further out?
What do you think?

Thanks!

I don't see any extension. And when renovating existing properties, always post the before and after (current and target).

I find this thread splitting not helpful for the overview. One could also continue at , then you don't have to look for what has already been said again.

This drawing unfortunately doesn't say anything ... a few measurements? Garden? Garage? Entrance where? North, South? I also can't see the extension of 3.3x7m or is that supposed to be completely on the left?

The entrance should be on the right ... cloakroom? What kind of room is intended at the top right?

We can't look into your head ;)

I knew that I know the house ;)
Be that as it may:
Old sketch, in red what is being removed, in green what is being added.
I still don't see an extension.
Dear OP: in this thread we don't know your house.
In the other thread, the photos show a different house to me than the drawing you want to discuss here.
In the old building renovation, the focus is basically on the feasible statics or the drains you want to continue using.
