Hello everyone,

I am facing the following challenge: I am currently renovating my house (built in 1927). In one of the rooms, I was forced to remove the old floor structure (see the left part of my sketch).

The old structure essentially consisted of slag filling. Now the structure is to be renewed, so I would like to lay a vapor barrier under the beams and the new dry filling (left part of the sketch). Does anyone have experience with this? How have you done the construction of such a ceiling?

Information about the floor:

The floor consists of slag concrete, which only served as a filler/construction material for the former slag filling. It is enclosed or supported by steel beams.

Below the affected room is a basement room that is more or less dry.

Thank you very much in advance.
