Hello,
we are currently renovating our house. In search of a good thermal and sound insulation concept, especially for our conditions, I am quite uncertain – about how we can arrive at an optimal solution.
We have the following situation or ceiling structure:
From bottom to top:
1. Sauerkraut board with plaster
2. Ceiling beams (height 20 – between them a 6cm clay layer poured on wooden boards)
3. New wooden floorboards 28mm (all very straight and level)
Now we want to apply good sound and thermal insulation on top as well as underfloor heating.
Sound and thermal insulation are important to us, as a rented apartment will partly be located under the future rooms.
For the underfloor heating, the PURMO TS 14 system will probably be used.
For the underfloor heating, we then have a structure of 35mm EPS system board plus 23 mm dry screed.
For the structure, I have about 13-16 cm installation height available. So 7-10 cm would still be possible for additional insulation.
But which insulation system can I put under the underfloor heating or which is compatible? Maybe there are other suggestions for the floor structure and underfloor heating.
Thank you very much in advance
