Hello everyone,
we would like to have a masonry fireplace that operates independently of the room air (Kfw 70 house). It would heat the ground floor (65 sqm living/dining/kitchen). However, I think it would only be on during the weekend, to be realistic. Since we are still in the planning phase, we don’t yet know whether we want to install an internal flue or an external pipe.
What are the advantages and disadvantages? Also in terms of price, does anyone have experience with this?
Apart from that, we are not yet sure where to place it. Either in a corner without a window next to the living wall and TV or as a small room divider between the dining and living area (and in that case it would need to have an internal flue). Are there things to consider when placing it?
Thank you very much for your help
