Financing double garage after completion of single-family house

When I last checked, you could get a prefabricated garage for 35,000 EUR with nothing but an additional door. No electrical, no wallbox, and no retaining wall.

Hmm, half a year ago I had an offer for a double garage with electrical package, door, and walkable roof for just under 30k€. But true, it was without slope stabilization, as the recommendation was to better secure the slope with L-shaped stones and then place the garage in front of it.

Just ask about a (pre-financed) building savings contract. That’s how I refinanced back then, without a mortgage (the advisor from the bank figured it out) and with significantly better interest rates than my "regular" loan. A year had passed by then and the interest rates had dropped. Disadvantage: you save up, earn hardly any interest on it, and pay back the entire amount simultaneously. But if you bring some "starting capital," you might be able to pay it in a lump sum and reduce this phase.
