Hello,

we have a lot of lime in our tap water. After a few years, you have to replace the fittings, etc. because the lime has ruined the seals. It is also not great for the kitchen appliances.

Therefore, I would be interested to know if it would be feasible to install a filtration system right after the house connection as a retrofit?
(And how much money would one have to expect roughly?)

Yes, it is possible. It costs between €1,500 and €3,000 for the offers we have. There are different systems with salt for refilling or with magnets. Just google [Entkalkungsanlagen], there is a lot of discussion about what is actually the best,...

Hi google not for filter, the lime is dissolved in the water and cannot be filtered. What is needed is water treatment with an ion exchanger or salt. Magnets only help if the water believes in it, which is usually not the case. Depending on the desired flow rate, different system sizes are possible at the prices mentioned above. Not to forget the regular maintenance due to the risk of contamination.
