Good morning,

our window fitter (Lower Saxony) informed me that ideally we should have the shell builder (NRW) pre-wall the windows so that direct dowel mounting is possible. That would save us the consoles.

However, I can hardly find any information about this and our shell builder also looked at me puzzled and said it was unusual but not a problem.

We will build with clinker bricks and I am looking for information on this. Standard Energy Saving Ordinance house.

Is there anyone here who has implemented their build this way? Advantages/disadvantages?

Thanks for your help :-)

With this "Vormauerung," a "stop" is probably meant, which can easily be created during the brick cladding by making the window openings narrower at the brick level.
