Hello dear community,
we are currently in the process of deciding on a facade color and are having a bit of trouble with it.
First, a brief overview of our house:
Window color: Anthracite RAL 7016
Wall construction: 36.5 cm aerated concrete; no ETICS
Exterior plaster: Two-layer mineral exterior plaster with full-surface fabric reinforcement consisting of lime-cement base plaster and top plaster.
Base: Formation of a house base with a base felt plaster (dark gray/anthracite)
Coating: Two coats of silicone resin paint in white. In the area of the bay window (ground floor 6.4m x 1 m) and on one wall (1m x 5m), paint in gray/dark gray. (see pictures, where the color accent is shown in light gray)
Our consideration was to design the house with two colors and to paint the bay window / one wall area in the same dark gray/anthracite as the base and not to introduce a third color (gray/light gray).
In discussions with our general contractor / painter, it was suggested that this is possible but more complicated (different plaster system to prevent efflorescence) and therefore rather undesirable.
Has anyone had experience with this? How does it behave with heating in the summer? Does the color fade over time? Can problems occur?
Thank you very much for your support!
Regards, Sushi
