Hello!

It is about determining the need for renovation for our purchase loan. When renovating an almost 30-year-old bathroom, we as absolute laymen are facing a problem.

The old WC systems all had plastic cisterns. Nowadays, the cistern is usually nicely integrated into a pre-wall installation. The problem for us is that the bathroom is very narrow, and a pre-wall installation would cost us precious centimeters.

Now my question: is it also possible to install the pre-wall system inside the (load-bearing) wall so that the cistern is located inside the wall? I would basically knock a hole in the wall, install the system, close the hole with drywall or similar, and hang the WC on it?!

It would be nice if someone could help me, an ignorant person!

Is it your own house? Then I would have no problems with it. I would definitely install a fall over the mounting element. Furthermore, the flow noises when flushing and filling the cistern. Wrap well. But how should the drain run? 100mm HT pipe? Pendel
