Hello everyone!

We want to have a single-family house built by a local solid house builder. We are already quite far along with the planning and have now received perspective images from the builder that show the house from the outside. Now that we have it so visually, we are dissatisfied with the views. The construction company is good, but not good at designing something beautiful.

We have already looked around online and found many sites listing 1000 views, front doors, canopies, etc. The mass is almost overwhelming! What we need are not 1000 suggestions, but a solution for our house!

Perfect would be someone who knows about building and design and simply takes a look and then makes a suggestion on how all components (position/size/color of the windows, materiality of the front door, type of canopy, color scheme of the facade and roof covering, etc.) can be harmonized.

In principle, this would be a case for an architect, but they are also not exactly cheap with classic commissioning. We would need someone who offers something like this at a flat rate, basically a professional style consultant. Doesn’t such a thing exist? When it comes to construction supervision, you can also bring in external experts who offer services at a fixed price.

Has anyone had the same experiences with this?
How did you solve the problem?

Thank you very much for your answers!

Hello,

the facade design is really difficult. The problem is also that in reality it looks completely different from any 2D or 3D images.

What always helps us is driving through new housing developments and getting ideas there of what we like in reality. For example, window formats, colors, etc... That can then be transferred more easily onto your own house than just using pictures from the internet.

Whether there is a specialist for something like this, I really doubt it. At least I don't know who should do such a thing. There are various interior architects or space designers for interior construction, but for the outside??

The expert is called an architect here. :-) But you don't want that...... And every expert costs money..... Whether they are called architect, bricklayer, electrician or anything else - they have been trained or even studied for that.

Hello,

Any architect who is even somewhat creative can do that. The question is whether you really want to save money at what I consider the wrong end?

Experienced facade builders active on the market for many years can offer help, as can good interior designers; they no longer work "only" on interiors. Both will also cost money ;)

Rhenish greetings

In a design, floor plan, interior and exterior design go hand in hand with the requirements. Then in the end, looking for someone with the task "Make it look nice!" in my opinion will not be able to deliver an optimal result.
