Hello community, I need your help and hope you can really help me. We have an outdoor tap at the house. Yesterday I wanted to install a new tap connector. When removing the old tap connector, a part of the faucet was pulled out. See picture. What is this part called? I screwed it back in and attached the new tap connector to it. Unfortunately, since then the tap is leaking. Water is leaking out at the sides, see blue arrows in the picture. How can I make it watertight again? Turning it in further as shown in the picture is not possible. Is it because of this part or is there simply a gasket or something missing? Regards

The part is a threaded adapter. It looks quite battered due to the use of less delicate tools, I would replace it 1:1 or with a [Gardena] connector. Seal as described above.

Someone has really worked nicely with the combination pliers.
I would replace the entire tap, I find the models with the knob top extremely impractical for daily use. Would recommend a model with a ball valve.
