Hello forum community,
we are planning a new building.
It is about the exterior wall, as we are unsure whether the wall construction is really sufficient.
The architect says that a 36.5 cm aerated concrete block without additional insulation would be completely sufficient. (Bauanfrage wurde letztes Jahr noch gestellt)
According to the architect, we would have a KfW 75-80 house expressed in KfW terms.
We do not want an ETICS and brick cladding seems too expensive to me, and we find plaster nicer.
Are our concerns unfounded and can we trust the architect like this?

Best regards

Hello,

we would like to join in here. We are also currently planning our single-family house and are thinking about the wall construction. Basically, we actually want to build monolithically and are therefore considering the following alternatives:

a) 300mm aerated concrete with a lambda of 0.09
b) 365mm T10 poroton
c) actually not preferred, but a combination of a) or b) with mineral insulation

We are currently leaning more towards b) and want to replace the stone with a T9.

What do you think? Please be lenient with us.

Regards

Why not just use a thicker stone? Neither 300 mm 0.09 W/mK is sufficient, nor 365 mm 0.1 W/mK (I just claim).

Sufficient for what? I assume you mean the energy saving ordinance reference value of 0.21, then the T9 would probably be the only alternative, or a 365 with aerated concrete, right?

Do the individual reference values according to the energy saving ordinance each have to be met? I can't make sense of it.
