Hello everyone,
my son is currently planning his residential building. The exterior facade on the ground floor is to be clad with facade panels. Among other things, the architect suggested [Siebdruckplatten]. Does anyone here in the forum have experience with this type of facade cladding or can recommend other, cost-effective panels that could be used?

Many thanks in advance for the information!

An acquaintance used silk screen printing plates as facade cladding and installed them himself. He says that the house always looks clean with these plates and that he saves on maintenance effort. He is also known for buying "cheap," so there should be such plates available at favorable conditions. The plates on his house have the look of rusty metal. The impression is quite solid, even though the sound when knocking is quite hollow. It does not suit my taste. My favorite for facade cladding is larch wood in Bergisch compound - which is also not everyone's taste.

I find Equitone by Eternit better. More durable. K.

Hello

We will also clad the new house again with HPL panels.
They are easy to work with, very durable, and simple to clean.

At BR there is the show Traumhäuser. One episode is called "Ein Einfamilienhaus mit schwarzer Hülle". It might be something for you. Not necessarily the color (although I find it brilliant), but rather the cladding itself. If I remember correctly, they are fiber cement boards. PS: The show is easy to find using a search engine.
