We are planning the installation of a dry screed for impact sound insulation on the 1st and 2nd floors in a new building (mid-terrace house). The developer is waiving the application of a screed layer on the concrete floor in the upper stories. Allegedly, otherwise the prescribed room height of 2.50 meters could not be maintained.
Against this background, we are looking for a material that is well suited for impact sound insulation, inexpensive, easy to apply, and if possible has a low build-up height.
Here we came across the material [Thermodyn], which allegedly possesses these properties. Unfortunately, almost nothing can be found about [Thermodyn] on the internet, and we do not particularly want to be guinea pigs ;)
Now we hope for experiences from forum members. We are also happy to receive other recommendations for impact sound insulation on concrete floors. The top covering is intended to be laminate flooring.
Thanks in advance.
