Experience with ARGE Haus GmbH in Berlin and Brandenburg

Hello everyone,

we are currently looking for a home construction company to build a house in the north of Berlin.

In the process, we came across ARGE Haus GmbH, which received a very good rating in Focus Money. The only question is how much weight to give it. You can find absolutely nothing about them on the internet, although with 60-80 houses built, they are not exactly small.

Does anyone have experience with this company? It would be extremely important for us to know.

Apart from the fact that there are three threads about the company name in this forum, so one actually wouldn’t have to ask "new" questions, the ("stupid?") question naturally comes to mind: if you are unsure about a construction company whether you can trust them, why don’t you just pick one of the many others? – Berlin is no hick town between Posemuckel and Hintertupfing where alternatives might be lacking; and building a house is no rocket science. The named provider builds normal houses, nothing pentagonal or made of fine dust.

The three threads mentioned here in the forum are virtually content-free (at least the ones I have found); if you have found any in which there is also some substantive information about Arge, then please send the links.

We are not unsettled, but still I try to gather as many experiences as possible in order, for example, to be able to estimate whether the promised fixed price, the construction time, the construction quality, etc., are usually adhered to.

To recognize that they are just cooking with water too and do not use patented magic ingredients - in other words, do not offer anything that could not basically also be found in the program of any Tom, Dick, and Harry - I do not need to have built with them. By the way, I have since looked at their website and got the impression that it is not actually a provider, but a provider cooperation / system center; in a way comparable to Baumeister-Haus or Heinz von Heiden, but with a stronger focus on "higher-earning" builders.

Yes, it says on the homepage: "Over 5,000 builders have already fulfilled their dream of owning their own home with ARGE-HAUS. ARGE-HAUS now has branches in ten federal states, (...)"

So it is a parent company under which various regional construction companies unite and thus share the costs for marketing, legal matters, etc.

It would therefore be important for you to find out exactly which construction company you would be dealing with, then you can research specific experiences.
