Expand LED

Hello,

I bought and installed the LEDs Omlopp with a 30w transformer from Ikea for my living room.

Unfortunately, the cables are partly too short. I would therefore like to cut and extend them.
I think it should work – or is there any reason against soldering cables in between to extend them?
Otherwise, it doesn't fit.

if it is done properly and the cable cross-section is not chosen too small, I don't see any reason against it.

I made an extension cable using the original cables. Soldered connections with heat shrink tubing.

Works perfectly
