I inherited a shell construction from my parents to renovate. I would now like to convert it into my own home. The renovation costs about 150,000 excluding furnishing. I have a girlfriend who is already involved in the planning. How should the whole thing be handled financially? - Should I pay everything and then share the furnishing costs? - Should the construction financing be paid off together? - I pay everything, share the furnishing, and she then pays me rent? Or is there another better option? The case of a separation should also not be disregarded. Thank you

Shell construction inherited? How old is it, has it already been closed, or has it been open for a long time?

Only you can answer your girlfriend's question. Is she a girlfriend or quite certainly the woman of your life? In case of Nr. 1, better you pay for everything :-)

10 years. was indeed used as a wardrobe, beverage storage, and storage room. was therefore closed. is a kind of semi-detached house of both until now one side has not yet been developed. Wedding is in prospect ;) separation should always be taken into account.

Do you have the building permit? Do you have a shell completion notification? Is there a final completion notification?

In other words: Is it legally a finished building or just a shell?

If the latter, you will still have a lot, a lot of work and effort ahead.

Regarding finances: clarify that with your girlfriend. Many things are possible, but even if some here don't like to hear it, it is not only about legal matters but also about many emotions.

Oh yes: If I were in her position, I would not co-sign a loan unless the land register is also in the names of both borrowers!

By the way, there have already been several topics here in the forum about the extent to which one protects each other, considers separation, etc. A search should bring those up again.
