Exhaust hood over the cooking island. How to vent the exhaust air?

Hello we originally planned a recirculation extractor hood for our new kitchen, but shortly before installation we decided on an extraction model. The extractor hood will hang above a cooking island, without a direct wall connection. Now the question arises how to best lead the exhaust air outside. We want to avoid screwing a thick exhaust pipe to the corner and leading it to the wall, as that looks quite ugly. What other solutions are there?

The possible solution arises from the local situation, which I do not know. Unfortunately, I cannot give any suitable advice, except: If you do not want a visible exhaust pipe on the wall and ceiling, the exhaust pipe would have to be routed upward through the ceiling, which then does not work if there are other rooms above the kitchen where an exhaust pipe cannot be installed.

The idea of running it through the ceiling is good. It is a bit elaborate, but it will look good. Above the kitchen is the attic, so it is quite practical for us.
