Hello everyone,
after the roof covering, the solar panels were installed directly under the ridge by the building services technicians. In my opinion, the ridge tiles as well as the ridge tape were not dismantled and reassembled properly for this.
The ridge clips were bent open to remove roof tiles and the glued ridge tape was torn off. After the installation of the panels, the ridge tape was pressed back behind the seam carelessly.
The ridge clips were bent back somewhat after the ridge tile installation.
As a result, the ridge tiles are now much looser compared to before and can be moved sideways.
I have already complained about this to the general construction company; subsequently, the clips were hammered again from above to get them closer to the tiles. I think with moderate success.
Question: Is it allowed to bend ridge clips open and closed again, and is it okay if the ridge tape is only half-heartedly glued in front of the seam?
Thank you very much for your advice!
