Hello everyone,

I want to drill the core hole for my stove connection this weekend.

Conditions:
- Flue pipe diameter 130mm
- Inner diameter of chimney approx. 140mm (extended with bell)
- Wall unplastered

Regarding the drilling:
What diameter should I make the core hole?
I have a 153 and 183 diamond core drill bit here.

For installing the double wall sleeve:
The sleeve is wrapped with ceramic insulating wool so that it just fits into the hole, right?
Then the gap is filled with stove mortar at the front and back.
Should I set the sleeve flush with the masonry or 1.5cm protruding so that it later aligns flush with the plaster?
Should I adapt the sleeve at the back to the diameter of the chimney flue or just bring it up to the flue and smear the rest with stove mortar?

Thanks and regards,
Michael
