Good evening I am looking for a supplier for a parquet floor called Landhausdielen in European cherry wood. Board width approx. 22 to 26 cm wide. Which adhesive should I use that does not contain toxic substances? Currently, a textile floor covering is installed. Do I have to remove the old adhesive residues or can I apply the new adhesive over it with a notched trowel? The current old adhesive is rock hard and difficult to remove.

Hello goldi,

You will find a supplier on the internet. Concerning the other questions: The glue residues must already be removed; the professional does this with a floor sanding machine with extraction. Properly "toxic" substances must no longer be contained in parquet adhesives; nevertheless, improper processing of synthetic resin adhesives can lead to increased emissions. Water-based dispersion adhesives and reactive resin adhesives generally have very low emission values and would therefore be recommended.

I was just about to ask the same question but see that this topic already exists.

Which European cherry tree is recommended?

How was it installed?

My husband wants to install it himself.

We thank you for any tips.

Yes, the man does it himself and that saves quite a bit of cost. Storage before installation is important. This must adapt to the room.

Then install like parquet, at least that's what I think.

We have also decided to install [Kirschbaum]. There are online shops on the internet that offer this. Just have a look, as I do not want to advertise here.

Just one more thing, the price ranges between 25 and 40 euros per sqm.
