Hello everyone,

I received a disassembled Effektiv cabinet with drawers from an acquaintance and noticed during assembly that the drawers have different extension depths. In other words, the top drawer can be pulled out significantly (estimated about 5 cm) further than the bottom one. When I asked my acquaintance, he said that, in his opinion, the extension depth should be the same, but I could not find any external stops on the rails as an explanation, and the left and right rails can be pulled out equally far. Question: Is it supposed to be like this with the different depths, or is something wrong?

Thanks in advance.

If I am not mistaken, those are the tandem box drawers. They should extend equally far.

I have now dismantled the slides again and looked at them more closely. The manufacturer is indeed Blum, the designation is Tandembox Plus. When you look at the slides from below, it is clearly noticeable that the lower plastic cage, which contains the ball bearing rollers and in the rear or front end position each hits a nose, is much longer than the upper one and the lower extension depth is therefore clearly system-related.

That is interesting, I’ll have to take the drawers apart at a furniture store sometime.
