Hi!
I’m new here and will introduce myself briefly. I’m Murat, live in Kiel, and have little knowledge about real estate, which is why I’m bothering you ;-). I just hope that my question is in the right place here, since the forum is more about house construction than house buying...
Specifically, it’s about the following: I want to buy a three-family house, which, however, originates from different construction years. The original building is a semi-detached house from the 1930s, then in ’59 an extension was added to the building, creating another house. In ’72, it was extended again, whereby the buildings from ’59 and ’72 were "mixed." This means that from the "new building" to the "middle" building, a breakthrough was made on both floors, so that now on the ground floor there is an apartment that also includes the middle building. Upstairs, the apartment similarly extends over the "new and middle building." Perhaps this is somewhat difficult to understand based on the description, but that should not be so relevant for the question.
In any case, the declaration of division was not corrected with the new building. What I am now missing are the exact details of the living areas. Is the real estate agent obliged to provide me with an exact calculation of the living space? I only have a few floor plans, from which some measurements can be taken, but not all that you would need for an area calculation...
I hope you could follow my explanations and that I might not be entirely in the wrong place here. Many thanks and have a nice weekend!
Best regards,
Murat
