Hi,

if I have a drywall that is only about 1.70m wide and 2.75m high and I want to double-layer it, can I simply use 2.00m gypsum plasterboards and offset them horizontally by half in the second layer, or do I necessarily have to have a vertical joint as well? I made a sketch, maybe it will be clearer then.

both are possible.

Well, then I will lay the tiles without vertical joints, which is obviously much less effort. Thanks :)

The vertical joint would only make sense if it allows you to save material. But with the small area, it wouldn’t matter anyway.
