Hello everyone,

I want to start drilling the holes for spotlights and such in our suspended ceiling now. I will get appropriate hollow wall drill bits at Obi tomorrow for this. Most of our spotlights require a diameter of 72mm.

Now my question is whether you have any tips. For example, I also wanted to get a laser (recommendations) to mark the positions. Are there any other tricks? What other equipment is useful besides a drill, drill bits (recommendations?), and laser? I have a tape measure.

Thanks!

You don't need more than that... Instead of a drill, I would use a cordless screwdriver.

Pencil replaces the laser.
Measure twice and drill once.

But is that still up to date

No, seriously: Laser is surely very helpful when aligning in a line over a longer distance.

I am the practitioner. In my time, lasers still cost xk DM. But since today they are cheap goods, you are of course right.

Ask yourself whether holes in ceilings are still up-to-date
