Double garage dimensions, prices, measurements

We are planning a double garage with a residential extension above. What dimensions do you think the double garage should have, do you have any experience? So, what double garage size is ideally to be chosen? Garage size 6x6m too small?

the garage width measurement is ok. We park 2 large station wagons on 5.6m in our garage and still have plenty of space to open the doors of both cars. The garage depth is also sufficient, but then not much else fits in aside from the cars. You should be aware of that. Our garage size is 5.6x9m and we are very happy about the extra space in the garage.

Thank you for the answer, yes more space would be great, but we have planned our terrace behind the garage and it would become smaller there, maybe we will put a garden shed there (for lawnmower, etc, then it doesn't have to go into the garage)

this year we poured the floor slab for an acquaintance. The size is 6.5x7.6m. This results in approx. 50m², which is exempt from approval in the state of [BRB]. We parked his two cars side by side, opened one door on each (for comfortable exit), and then calculated an additional 30cm on each side for the walls. I must say, with these dimensions for the double garage, it is optimal, with enough space left at the back for a workbench and other things.
